Regal Options Review

CLOSED

Wide range of assets, huge payouts, and fantastic bonus programme.

Regal Options is a binary options broker licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). They claim to be industry leaders in binary options trading. Does their claim live up to reality? Read on and find out.

Let’s being by looking at what the various options are for trading on Regal.

Tradable assets

Regal Options has the main underlying asset areas covered: indices, commodities, currencies and stocks. Its indices offering is comprehensive, including the staples such as DOW, S&P, FTSE and Nikkei as well as emerging markets such as BSE Sensex and Dubai General. Additionally, bund futures are listed here – which are fairly rare to find provided by other brokers. The commodities are similarly well covered, with all the metals (gold, silver, copper, etc), crude, and soft commodities (coffee, sugar) available. The currency offering is a slight letdown: while the main G10 currencies (EURUSD, AUDUSD, etc) are of course provided, there are a few notable crosses not available (e.g. AUDJPY). However, they do have RUB, NOK and SEK which are not commonly provided by other brokers. Their selection of stocks, however, is superb. All the major names from around the world are listed, as are many more esoteric ones.

Regal Options is similarly well diversified in its offering of binary option types. These include Digital, Touch, Range and Turbo.

Digitals are your typical binary options: you choose an asset, pick a direction and expiry, and if the asset closes in your direction at the time of expiry you receive the payout. The range of expiry times on these are a little more restricted than I would have liked: there are plenty of intraday times available, but no real longer term coverage. For example, if I wanted to buy a month-long binary, I wouldn’t find it here.

Touch options operate in a different manner to traditional binary options. Instead of the price having to be at a certain level by expiry, touch options only require the price to have traded at the predetermined level at some point before expiry. The benefit of one touches is the increased flexibility in what the asset does – you can get unlucky with a digital if it moves the wrong way near expiry, but with one touches, as long as it has move enough in your direction at some point, you will get the payout regardless of what happens next. The other great thing about one touches are the high payouts they often give: I cover this in greater detail in the spreads section.

Range options allow you to bet on whether the asset will finish within a range or outside a range. This is very useful when you are not sure on the direction that an asset will take, but are confident about how volatile it will be – for example, right before a news event, you may feel strongly that the data will cause the asset to have a big move in one direction. The added flexibility is very welcome and it is not common to see this option type offered by other brokers. Once again, payouts can be very good indeed.

Turbo options are like digitals, but on a much smaller timeframe. Regal Options covers 1 minute, 2 minute and 5 minute options.

Regal Options has very few weaknesses – lack of currency crosses aside – in its tradable asset offering, and as such gets a high mark from me for this section.

Spreads

Regal Options has payouts between 75-80% on the standard digitals, which are very competitive and fair. It is particularly good to see that they do not go below 75% even on very esoteric assets, which a lot of their competitors do.

Regal’s Range options offer payouts of 220%, and its Touch options go up to 310%! These high payouts allow you to make a large return on your money with very little starting capital.

Finally, the Turbo offers payouts of 76% – this is actually one of the best spreads I’ve seen for these short term options online, and is a very good deal.

Platform

Regal Option’s platform does many things exactly right. First of all, it is extremely responsive and latency-free, which is the foremost criterion for determining if a platform is usable.

Secondly, it has all the necessary information condensed in an easy-to-glance-at layout. You can see the time to expiry, the current market sentiment and your payouts all in one area – this saves time and prevents confusion.

The other thing I am highly appreciative of in their platform is that payouts are listed directly next to the asset themselves. This is very helpful, and allows for much more efficient navigation and trading decisions to be made in time-pressured situations.

The main weakness of the platform is the lack of any charting facilities whatsoever. You cannot even look at different timeframes to get a big picture idea of the asset you are interested in. Sadly, this is entirely typical of most online brokers: with very exceptions, for serious charting and technical analysis, you will have to use a third party programme.

Depositing and Withdrawal Process

The minimum deposit on 24option is 200 USD/GBP/EUR, depending on your currency of choice. There is also a maximum deposit of 5000 USD/GBP/EUR. Deposits can be made very easily via credit/debit cards, digital payments or wire transfers. Withdrawals work in the same manner, and are totally free of charge if done via a credit/debit card. There is however a $25 processing fee for bank transfers of less than $500.

Bonuses and Customer Service

Regal Options has a fantastic, fully featured bonus programme. It works in the form of tiers, based on your deposit amount. For $200-$999, you open a Basic account which provides for a 30% cashback bonus. At $1000-$4999, you join the Amber tier and get a 50% bonus along with a personal account manager and one-on-one training should you request it, as well as 2 totally risk-free trades! For $5000-$9999, you are recognized as a Platinum Member and now have a bonus of 75% as well as 3 risk free trades. Finally for $10000+ you are treated as a VIP Member and can receive up to 100% as a bonus (negotiable directly with Regal Options), expedited withdrawals, daily trading signals, 5 risk free trades, and much more.

To be able to get up to 100% of your deposit returned as cash is very generous indeed, and the fact that you only need to clear 30 times your deposit size in traded volume to clear the bonus makes this one of the best bonus programmes offered anywhere online.

Regal Options offers 24/7 Customer Support via email, live chat and phone. Somewhat surprisingly it does not have local satellite offices around the world, but it is still effective in providing assistance to traders.

Conclusion

Regal Options has a wide range of tradable assets, great payouts, a solid platform and perhaps the best bonus programme available anywhere. All this makes it a winner in my book.
